Maybelline Fit Me Dewy Review

      Before I give any product an honest review, I always try it out for 30 days.

      Where do I begin? I LOVE this foundation. Not only is it great for drier skin but it gives you a fresh hydrated look thanks to its gel base.

     Anyway, due to the fact that my skin is light and olive, I always have to purchase 2 foundations...the Classic Ivory shade that every brand has and the 1 shade right under medium. In this case I bought 110 & 120. The price is not too shabby either, $6.49 each.

     What I found about this product is that you can build the coverage without it feeling heavy & it gives your skin the ultimate hydrated look. I did my usual highlighting routine after I applied foundation but to tell you the truth I didn't need that much.

      Oh and the all day staying power is magnificent.  So out of 5 stars I give this product 5 stars!

    

   

Strobing for Beginners

        Let me just start off by saying I LOVE strobing! Why you ask? It makes my skin look refreshed, dewy and much younger.

       So what is strobing by the way? Strobing is a makeup technique of accentuating the highlights of one's face with less, if any, concentration on contouring.

       Ever since Kim Kardashian blessed us with a picture of how her Makeup Artist Highlights & Contours her face, contouring kits were flying off the shelf and YouTube Beauty Gurus went on a Tutorial Spree. Let's face it, regardless of what you think of her, her makeup is always spot on. Yes she has a Makeup Artist on deck but I have seen non celebrities who can pull this look together by themselves.

          We can obviously tell that the lighter part of her face is the Highlighting area and the dark area is the Contour. With Strobing we are only going to concentrate on some of the Highlighted area such as the middle of forehead/top of eyebrows, bridge of nose, tops of cheekbones, cupids bow, and chin.

          Now one thing I would suggest is if you aren't sure how strobing would look on you is to go to Target or Wegmans. They carry the E.L.F. Cosmetic Line which contains two types of highlighters, cream and powder, priced from $1 to $3. I would get one of each to know who texture you can easily work with.

TIP: Sometimes I actually layer the highlighters. I will start with the Cream texture and finish off with the Powder texture using the Fan Brush for extra staying power.

WEN by Chaz Dean Review*

    *This was given to me as a gift for Christmas 2014

     I am sure there isn't a soul alive who has NOT seen the early morning infomercial of the Hair Care System, WEN by Chaz Dean. I mean this Hair Care System offers the utmost shine, body, and bounce without "shampooing" the hair. What Chaz did was create a 5-in-1 formula that replaces your current hair care products into 1 product. Then the celebrities came forward to share their testimonies; Rosalyn Sanchez, Angie Harmon, Alyssa Milano amongst others. I was sold.

      

    Backstory of my hair real quick; Long, color treated, zero body (unless it is heavily layered), and almost no shine. I have tried everything under the sun at that point so I figured this can't hurt.

   So here comes hair washing day. I follow the directions, used the amount of pumps they suggested, and then rinsed my hair. My hair feels so silky and the fine toothed comb could actually run right through my hair without any snags or snarls. Blow-dry time to actually see the real results. Does WEN deliver?!

         YES IT DOES!.....

    But, here is the only but, you have to play around with the amount of pumps they tell you to use. They suggested 24-32 pumps for long hair but due to the fine texture I have to use a quarter of what they recommend which is 8 pumps total. So worth it tho!

   I stand by this product and will continue to buy it again since I am still on the same bottles! I also found that my hair can go an extra day without washing and not get greasy at all. Win for me.

    When I originally sat down and decided to start a blog, it was going to only be about makeup..that's it because that was all I knew how to do. I wasn't really into anything else as much. But then it took my husband to point out and show me that I could literally be the "whole package" but it took more than just a pretty face. It came down to style. From hairstyle to shoes.

    So I did my homework and I feel like the info I acquired is too good to keep to myself. I studied everything from hair to toenail polish and everything in between. I also took it a step further and studied clothing (style, fit, and color theory) and how to accessorize.
